  • I changed the "Miscellania" heading on the front page to "The Library" I felt like "Miscellania" kind of lessens the importance of the materials housed there. If someone can think of a different heading that's cool. --RWHN 20:30, 14 May 2008 (BST)

  • I managed to do a rough version of the Netwar essay and put it on the appropriate page. I'm going through some other military manuals currently, noting any useful information for later assimilation. Cain

  • I added an article (minimun security society)to the lit section, but i need to rework it alot more, maybe take a look at it/the idea and tell me what you think. [barumunk]
    • Not bad, man! You should post it over at PD though so we can discuss it there. Professor Cramulus 13:57, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

  • I added some new writings to the Lit section and made a Download section on the Main page. It needs more, of course. Also, I think the Resources section needs more information. --RWHN 17:17, 28 September 2007 (BST)

  • Oh yeah, for the literature section. I'm wondering if it would make more sense to segregate the "discussions" from the rants and sermons. I'm not too sure how to do that easily without screwing the whole thing up but I think it might provide for better flowage. --RWHN 20:53, 2 April 2007 (BST)

  • I did some editing of the main page. I nixed the "renaming" thing because it seems like we've either decided to keep the name, or we're not renaming it (esentially the same thing). So in favor of cleanliness I thought it should go. I also moved BIP table of contents to the top as it seems like it should have priority being the seed that germinated into all of this. I also added a resource section. Within there I've got a section for books and one for websites. I think this will be necessary so we can add sources for literature that aren't written by us. Any comments or criticisms let me know here or PM me at the other place. --RWHN 20:51, 2 April 2007 (BST)

  • I think the articles which are themselves Discussions, like The_Fear_and_Desire_Loop should eventually be edited into one passage if possible. I think having user names attached to these ideas makes the ideas less accessible to people who don't know us. I think they seem more universal if they're divorced from their authors. • btw you can sign your comments with four tildes, four times ~, like this: 000 16:42, 12 March 2007 (UTC) only then, well you get the point. also reading [most frequenct wiki markup explained] is probably gonna help you out. (also i'm fucking up this layout)

  • Guys, feel free to edit the blurb, I slapped that in there from one of your posts on the forum (with a couple of edits).
    --syn 15:08, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

  • Question, the "Literature" section. What exactly is that supposed to be? Is this to link to books and resources on the net or is this where we post stuff from the forum. Or is it both?
    --RWHN 14:43, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
    • for literature i was basically thinking the literature that we put together (ie the pamphlet)
    --LHX 17:27, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
      • Oh, yeah duh, I should've realized that one. Makes sense.
    --RWHN 20:32, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

  • new front page changes - yo - im trying to think of a way to make the front more user friendly and encourage people to test out the waters - but also it aint smart to get things too cluttered - it would be nice to see some nit-picking go on here eventually, so please feel free to edit anything i wrote that looks wrong

  • start using this wiki for what its for

  • also: maybe we should make a point of encouraging and supporting the 'open source' movement? that would definitely have some appeal, and i think its one of the strong points here
    --LHX 23:37, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

  • I see the literature section is gone. I added a Pulpit page to house rants from the forum, and uploaded some stuff there. Feel free to move / reformat any of this. If it ends up housing a lot of articles, it should probably be more prominent on the main page.
    --Professor Cramulus 17:00, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

  • hah, I just found the lit section. *face palm* Re-Moving stuff there.

  • ( 000 16:34, 12 March 2007 (UTC) ) i was just thinking of getting some sort of plan together, what needs to be done
    • get as much BIP related text up there as possible (this is the obvious one)
    • but maybe someone should go over these texts and make them a littlebit more pretty with markup, subheadings, tables of contents, etc. for all this stuff there exists [[1]]
    • also any relevant diagrams and images can be put on a wiki page did you know that (so LHX that is an even more safe place to store the diagrams than photobucket)
    • should there be some sort of index pages? like "all rants written by RHWN"?, "pages about the Machine"
    • also very important, where possible, pages should have internal links to eachother (even when they didn't appear in the original text)

  • on the other hand, as i said, maybe it's too early for these kinds of structural ideas. and maybe the wiki-concept is good enough that it'll grow organic-like into something useful by itself (i dunno, but wikis seem to be pretty robust against this).
    • I think its important to address structural ideas as early as possible. That way we won't have to reorganize after we've got a ton of stuff on here. The organic wiki growth will happen - but since there are only a handful of editors it'll happen fairly deliberately. (If that makes any sense.) Professor Cramulus 20:08, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

(post new comments at the top. Is that how they do it on wiki? Maybe not. I'm confused.)
